Prescribing Wellness from the Inside Out
THE PLAN: Launch a wellness program for 30,000 Mercy Health employees that truly lives their mission of improving the health and well-being of the communities they serve. In other words, build something that feels as caring on the inside as the system is on the outside.
THE GOAL: Create a culture where every employee feels supported in mind, body, and spirit. Not another corporate initiative, but a genuine commitment to caring for the people who care for everyone else.
Mercy Health has consistently been recognized as one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America.
THE PLAYBOOK: Develop a branded program that speaks directly to employees in ways they can see, feel, and act on. We created a system-wide awareness campaign with direct mail, internal posters, table tents, break-room refrigerator magnets, and environmental graphics — all celebrating a shared culture of well-being. Every touchpoint was designed to cut through the noise and connect on a human level.
THE RESULTS: We began by naming and branding the program Be Well Within, drawing inspiration from Mercy Health’s external “Be Well” promise and bringing it home to employees. The visual language was bright, bold, and metaphorical — intentionally crafted to stand out in a crowded internal landscape. Over the years, LaineGabriel continued to evolve the campaign, helping employees stay well and stay connected across 600 miles of Ohio and Kentucky.
